Responsibilities
Reporting to the associate director for Parent and Family Philanthropy & Engagement, the coordinator is responsible for helping execute a series of omni-channel solicitations, which includes events that support the comprehensive parents and family philanthropy & engagement program.
The Parent and Family Philanthropy and Engagement program is designed to raise funds from, and provide meaningful engagement opportunities for, parents and families of current and former Florida State University students.
Create, execute and benchmark fundraising events centered around key activities that engage parents and families. This includes, but is not limited to, Orientation, Senior-Sendoff, Move-In, Family Weekend and Graduation.
Support omni-channel fundraising activities which include: crafting content for direct mail and email campaigns; providing support for video and text campaigns; and helping plan and staff events.
Facilitate a partnership between various campus departments including Admissions, Orientation, the Division of Student Affairs and all of the colleges and units across campus.
Help ensure parents and family data integrity.
Properly steward parent and family donors in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to six years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office products suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), or equivalent software.
A self-starter, comfortable working independently while working well in a team-oriented environment, taking the initiative to be productive and efficient.
Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously and accurately in a detail-oriented environment.
Ability to handle confidential, sensitive information with the highest degree of professionalism.
Ability and willingness to travel and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
A valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License, or the ability to obtain.

Preferred
Advanced degree preferred.
Professional demeanor with a teamwork approach, and a can-do, assertive philosophy.
Minimum of four years of professional experience in major gift development in a university setting. Experience in a related field with basic knowledge of personal solicitation methods may also be considered.
Experience with Black Baud’s CRM Platform or other fundraising information management systems/databases.
