focus is on global arts and cultures with an emphasis on Africa,
Asia, the Pacific, and the Americas. With a strong foundation in
historical arts from these regions, the Fowler believes that
cultures are always on the move. Thus, programming also features
the work of international contemporary artists presented within the
complex frameworks of politics, culture, and social action.
Established in 1963 and widely known for its extensive collections
and ambitious exhibitions and programs, it serves diverse community
and campus audiences. The Museum is part of UCLA's School of the
Arts and Architecture and regularly collaborates with faculty and
students across campus, the Center for the Art of Performance, and
Hammer Museum as well as other Los Angeles arts and cultural
institutions.

the Museum and its endowment.
Primary Responsibilities

long-term plans and robust strategies for individual, corporate and
