Senior Director of Development
Cambridge in America
$190,000 - $240,000, dependent on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package
Are you a dynamic and results-driven leader with a passion for higher education and philanthropy? Do you have a proven track record in cultivating strong relationships, driving fundraising initiatives, and empowering teams to achieve their full potential?
Here at Cambridge in America, we are looking for a new Senior Director of Development to join our successful and friendly team. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will manage a team of eight (8) fundraising professionals as well as a personal portfolio of principal gift prospects. You will have ultimate responsibility for planning and executing all activities related to soliciting and closing gifts (principal, major, planned and leadership annual fund) from Cambridge alumni and non-alumni in North America.
Cambridge in America is the New York-based and only outpost for the University of Cambridge, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the world. CAm, as we are affectionately known, is among the largest North American offices for a foreign university while also being an independent organization with its own governance and structure.
Our mission is to support the whole of Cambridge University and its constituent Colleges. We're a dynamic and friendly team who work together to deliver the University’s potential. It is an exciting time to join us and the Cambridge community as we look beyond our successful £2 billion ($3billion) Dear World, Yours Cambridge campaign with the leadership of our new Vice Chancellor, Professor Deborah Prentice, formerly Provost of Princeton University.
If you want to work as an inspiring leader, a motivating manager and innovative fundraiser while having an impact globally, we would love to hear from you.
We practice a hybrid working model of 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely.
