JFP is expanding its team and seeking a dynamic and dedicated Grants Manager to play a pivotal role in advancing our mission. As the Grants Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by managing our grant application and distribution process, ensuring that local news organizations receive the support they need to thrive. You will be responsible for identifying potential funders and grant recipients, building relationships with them, and overseeing the grant lifecycle from application to reporting.
Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 (Based on Experience)
Benefits: Funded Medical Benefits
Professional and Technical Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant management, fundraising, or nonprofit administration.
- Strong understanding of the local news landscape and the challenges it faces.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills.
- Experience in managing budgets and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in grant management software and tools.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
