Senior Development Manager

Reports to: Executive Director of
Communications and Development
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
-
Lead the end-to-end process of
developing compelling and successful grant applications and
reports; this includes researching, writing, submitting, and
tracking applications and reports in collaboration with relevant
colleagues across the organization
Manage the the day-to-day development
activities, including:
-
drafting and distributing timely
internal and external fundraising communications
developing annual and grant specific
timelines
maintaining master development
calendars
organizing, tracking, and archiving
donor and development files
partnering with Marketing to develop,
maintain, and update CPS donor materials as needed
working closely with the Finance to
maintain overall grant compliance and reporting, including outcome
measurement and grant budget development
research new opportunities to
diversify funding pool and amplify donor engagement strategy
prepare meeting agendas, recaps, and
strategic fundraising plans

In partnership with the Executive
Director, Communications & Development, serve as a primary
point of contact for current foundations, organizations, and
partners to whom we regularly submit grant applications and
reports
Cultivate new and maintain existing
funder relationships (foundation, corporate, individual) that
result in large on-going donations to the organization,
collaborating with Head of Schools and Executive Director,
Communications & Development) when needed
Manage customer relationship
management system including updating database, communications with
donors, and tracking of donations and acknowledgments
Enter donations into the network’s
customer relationship management system and ensure timely
acknowledgments of donations
Support large scale, school-specific
fundraising initiatives, network annual giving campaigns, and
annual events
In partnership with the Executive
Director of Communications and Development function as a primary
contact for all funder and prospective funders for all purposes
including, but not limited to the following:

manage inquiries from current and
prospective funders and ensure timely and effective responses
facilitate engagement with funders
through maintenance of a master calendar of giving based on
historical giving
collaborate across departments,
particularly with School Leadership, to gather and assimilate
content related to grant applications and reports
lead all grant/funder proposals,
reports, budget creation, budget compliance, outcome measurements,
and deadlines
track funding usage once funds are
received to ensure compliance with legal/grant mandates
work with data team to compile, as
well as understand and analyze, key data points needed for grant
proposal and report submissions

Support Board meetings as needed
Coordinate with outside consultants
as needed

Educational Background and Work Experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications,
Nonprofit Management, Business Administration or similar
5+ years in development and/or
communications
-
Experience with nonprofit
administration, grant writing, or fundraising is preferred
Experience with donor development or
CRM software systems is preferred
*Weekend or evening work and travel is required.
Compensation
Salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience range $112,000 - $120,000. Additionally, CPS offers a comprehensive benefits package. This is a full-time, 12 month exempt position, which is vacation eligible. Position shall be in-person at the sole discretion of leadership.
