The University of Tennessee Foundation (UTFI) is seeking a self-motivating highly organized professional to join our team as the Assistant Director of Advancement for the College of Law at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville campus. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Assistant Director will perform duties including, but not limited to, strategic execution of college annual giving programs/initiatives; communications including preparing proposals and gift agreements; and writing and preparing content for website and marketing materials for the department. This role will also plan and execute alumni and donor events including homecoming, class reunions, remote alumni receptions, and alumni council/dean’s circle receptions. Playing a critical role in donor stewardship and recognition, the role will compile stewardship reports and manage scholarship recipient acknowledgments. Lastly, the Assistant Director will focus on building unrestricted annual giving and other annual giving initiatives as outlined by leadership. Some of the annual giving initiatives include Big Orange Give, Big Orange Family Campaign, and 3-L Class Giving Program with the goal of building and growing a annual giving pipeline.

Required Qualifications:  A bachelor’s degree with 3+ years or master’s degree with 1+ years of experience in university advancement, non-profit setting, event management, or sales with donor/customer service experience. Strong interpersonal, communications, and organizational skills are required.  Candidate must possess strong organizational skills as well as superior customer service, ability to multi-task, and demonstrate advanced computer proficiency including Microsoft Office. Experience with ANDI, SAP (IRIS), CRM database (Salesforce) or similar software is preferred for this position.  The ideal candidate will be highly supportive of and committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required due to travel responsibilities of the position.
