Prospect Research Analyst

The Prospect Analyst is responsible for performing prospect development functions primarily in support of major and principal gift fundraising.

This position executes proactive and reactive research services as well as prospect management services for an assigned slate of development officer clients. Core responsibilities include compiling and analyzing data/intelligence on prospective donors, conducting reviews of development officer portfolios and pipelines, assisting with the creation and implementation of new/enhanced policies, procedures, and protocols, and contributing to special projects to advance the prospect development program. In addition to their assigned development officer clients, the Prospect Analyst may also be tapped to provide prospect development support for University Relations and UMD College Park leadership.

The incumbent will serve as a resource for staff across University Relations on prospect development tools and techniques. The Prospect Analyst also performs other related duties as assigned; the omission of specific tasks does not preclude the supervisor from assigning responsibilities that are logically related to the position.
