The Associate Director of Annual Giving & Alumni Engagement
will report directly to the Executive Director for
Advancement. This position is responsible for the strategic
development and execution of programs, fostering an active,
informed, engaged, and spirited alumni community, focused on
life-long association with the College of Arts, Science, and
Education (CASE). Provides leadership in overall planning of
goals and objectives, and designing, developing, and administering
alumni engagement and annual giving programs, to cultivate,
maintain, and enhance the CASE relationship with alumni.
- Oversees and executes annual giving fundraising and engagement
strategies for key constituents, alumni, leadership annual giving,
reunion, young alumni, faculty/staff, friends, and parents.
Including but not limited to solicitation giving days, student
philanthropy, and crowdfunding initiatives. Collaborate with
central advancement annual giving executive to lead the development
and execution of a comprehensive annual giving campaign strategy
and work plan. Serves as a critical member of the CASE Advancement
team, ensuring a strong base of alumni giving, supporting the
college¿s goals. Holds a portfolio of 100 to 500 prospects to
qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward gifts between $1,000 and
- Manages the design, development, and administration of alumni
engagement and annual giving programs for the College. Increases
alumni giving participation and support through strong
communication, personal interaction, and events, and collaborates
with Alumni Relations and Annual Giving departments in maintaining
and strengthening positive relationships with students and alumni
to encourage their continued long-term relationship with FIU.
- Establishes, implements, and monitors short and long-range
goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures related to
Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement programs and initiatives for
CASE. In conjunction with the central Office of Alumni Relations,
plans and develops strategies for increased alumni engagement,
tracks engagement key performance indicators.
- Plans, organizes, coordinates, and collaborates all alumni
activities and gatherings locally and nationally, for the College,
including reunions, alumni meetings, homecoming, alumni receptions,
and other alumni special events. Works in collaboration and
coordination with the Executive Director for Advancement to
identify key alumni major and principal giving prospects for the
College. Identify, qualify, recruit, and develop relationships
with, and train alumni volunteers to engage in CASE life.
Identifies, recruits and develops relationships with alumni
volunteers who can help to engage alumni in major markets for the
College, fostering greater engagement, community, and
- Drafts formal and informal marketing, solicitation, and other
publications to enhance solicitation and stewardship efforts.
Co-creates and evaluates new content and/or design for annual fund
promotional materials such as letters and e-solicitations, and
other written materials and online fundraising initiatives.
- Oversees production of annual giving reports and provides
analysis of giving trends. Maintains current information for
donors, alumni, and volunteers in the Advancement Database Raiser¿s
Edge. Develops and implements standards for measuring and reporting
of alumni giving and engagement. Leverage databases, websites, and
related technologies to enhance communication with alumni/donor
- Collaborates closely and intentionally with the central Office
of Alumni Relations to align strategy and opportunities for alumni
- Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of fundraising experience.
Must have supervisory/management experience.
