www.childhood-usa.org

The World Childhood Foundation (Childhood) was founded in 1999 by Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden, who felt a compelling need to address the social and emotional poverty of children around the world. The Foundation’s focus is on protecting children from sexual abuse and supporting those who have been subject to child sexual abuse and exploitation. Childhood supports over 84 programs in 14 countries and hosts four operating offices in Sweden, Germany, Brazil, and the United States. The Sweden office oversees the international program.  World Childhood Foundation USA (Childhood USA) aims to inspire, promote, and develop solutions to end sexual abuse, exploitation, and violence against children in the United States.

The Development Associate serves as a key leadership team member and works collaboratively with Childhood USA’s Executive Director, Board, staff, volunteer committees, and consultants to lead the agency’s fundraising program. The candidate will design and implement short- and long-term fundraising strategies and plans to support Childhood USA’s strategic plan, values, and mission. S/he will identify, prioritize, research, and cultivate relationships with donors, with a particular focus on corporate, foundation, and major donor giving. The ideal candidate will participate in setting organizational objectives, and exemplify a commitment to the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
