PURPOSE: The Annual Fund Manager is
responsible for the growth, engagement, and retention of American
Prairie’s Annual Fund donors. This role develops the communications
and marketing programs necessary to optimize our donor base and
increase donations under $50,0000.
This role is responsible for understanding the
demographics and trends of donors and building compelling
engagement and donation campaigns to substantially increase the
impact of the Annual Fund.
This role provides direct support to the Vice
President and Chief Marketing Officer and is responsible for
introducing best practices and tactics across all levels of donors.
As a member of the marketing team, this role manages internal and
external creative resources to deliver impactful, efficient, and
effective multi-channel marketing to our donor population.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

Responsible for all marketing and communications
related to growing and retaining Annual Fund donors and
donations.
Translate the growth strategies created by the VP of
Philanthropy and the VP of Marketing into projects, action plans,
and tactics.
Create scalable processes to foster efficient
growth
Ensure that deadlines are met and projects are
completed within budget

Develop and deploy the marketing plan for American
Prairie that drives increased retention, giving, and engagement
with our Annual Fund donors.
Produce engaging and relevant content for various
platforms, marketing assets, and communications that is
representative of the American Prairie brand and voice.
Manage creative resources to develop and deploy
marketing campaigns.
Responsible for transforming and continuously evolving
our monthly giving campaign.
Responsible for developing “new donor” communications
and cadence to increase strong new donor affinity and drive repeat
gifts and overall retention.
Responsible for creating a monthly cultivation
communication utilizing storylines from across the organization
including our social media, field operations, and community
outreach.
Copywriting and content creation

Research and analyze our Annual Fund donor population
to identify trends, opportunities, and audiences.
Action these insights to make recommendations on
strategies, campaigns, and appeals.
Create, maintain and conduct analytics reporting and
extract key insights for future campaign development and
strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on
tactics
Track, analyze, and report on key performance
indicators, using them to drive decision making and resource
allocation.

Enthusiasm for and positive representation of American
Prairie’s mission, goals and culture.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or
related field.
3-5 years of experience in philanthropy, marketing,
advertising, public relations, or communications, or other related
fields as an individual contributor.
Experience delivering Annual Fund or Appeal campaigns
in a non-profit organization
Demonstrated marketing performance with knowledge of
social media, online communications, traditional media-based
marketing, and brand management.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to analyze marketing metrics and report on the
impact on the business.
Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity
and attention to detail.
Proficient in data analysis, capable of clear and
accessible reporting.
Strong project, time, and resource management
with effective problem solving skills.
