Seeking Fundraising Consultant for National Veterans Nonprofit

NVSBC Education Foundation (NVSBC-EF) seeks a full-time fundraising consultant or senior leader with part-time junior support to coordinate comprehensive fundraising initiatives. The consultant will collaborate closely with the Executive Director, senior team, Board fundraising chair and committee on:

  • Assessing current fundraising strengths and weaknesses
  • Developing strategies focused on growing corporate, foundation, individual giving and planned giving support
  • Implementing donor cultivation and stewardship plans
  • Ensuring accurate and timely reporting to funders
  • Planning for fundraising staff growth in 2025 and beyond

The foundation recently secured 6-figure federal funding and 7-figure corporate foundation grants. Robust events populate every quarter, bringing sponsorships and growing brand awareness. The Board and Honorary Board (including corporate leaders and military notables) are highly engaged. 2024 is the year to build on a solid foundation of fundraising growth by finding a fundraising leader who can multi-task and organize various fundraising initiatives. The consultant will leverage this solid foundation to build out a strategic multi-channel fundraising program.

Ideal candidates have 2-4+ years fundraising experience; are personable and service oriented; genuinely care about and support entrepreneurship, Veterans, and military families; bring both strategic thinking and people skills to the job; and offer strong written and verbal communication skills.

Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply. NVSBC-EF values diversity and inclusion.

Submit a resume and cover letter detailing your fundraising qualifications and approach  by March 15th, 2024. We intend to complete this search quickly. Please apply ASAP.
