Job Summary:
IIE is seeking a Data Analyst II. This role is on the Philanthropy team which helps support, expand, and deepen the impact of IIE’s programs, including our key signature initiatives: Emergency Student Fund, Odyssey Scholarship, Scholar Rescue Fund, and the Artist Protection Fund. We accomplish this by securing resources, elevating our visibility, and communicating the impact of our programs to supporters who are as passionate about our mission and vision as we are.
As the Data Analyst II for the Philanthropy team, you will play a critical role in driving our fundraising effectiveness and efficiency. You will be responsible for the functionality and continual enhancement of the Philanthropy database. You will provide data analysis and develop metrics and reports for informing strategic decision-making and assessing the success of our fundraising efforts.
Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy Research and Operations, you will be a key member of a tight-knit, collaborative, can-do team. We take the donor experience seriously and are committed to grounding our fundraising in racial and social justice.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for the Philanthropy database and the prioritization of future platform functionality and enhancements. Provide new user onboarding and ongoing user training.
Coordinate with Technology partners to ensure functionality is built and enhancements and bugs are resolved to satisfy business requirements.
Lead and manage fundraising analytics by evaluating and illustrating data and providing insights and metrics for impactful presentations and strategic decision making.
Implement dashboards and reports and monitor integrations and connections within the CRM platform or other relevant reporting/analytics tools within IIE to meet fundraising goals.
Develop, implement, and document data management processes that ensure the integrity and security of information and compliance with fundraising policies and procedures. Monitor and maintain agreed-upon data standards for entry and reporting.
Partner with Philanthropy colleagues to enhance the prospect management system.
Produce targeted audience lists for appeals, stewardship communications, and invitations.
Assess system requirements and provide systems support for a variety of philanthropy events and projects.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience:
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proven experience in system configuration and/or implementing enhancements for a development database.
Ability to analyze and review operational procedures, identify problem areas, and optimize performance through procedural changes.
Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, with ability to establish priorities, balance multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
A motivated, ambitious team player with exceptional organizational skills, a positive, can-do attitude, and a growth mindset.
Commitment to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, excellence, and DEIA principles.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
2-4 years of database management experience with Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce highly preferred.
A solid understanding of prospect management and proficiency in incorporating prospect tracking data in a development database preferred.
Experience analyzing and synthesizing data sets and producing readable, informative reports and presentations relevant to fundraising. Advanced knowledge of Excel a must; proficiency with reporting software such as Power BI is a plus.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary Range:
$69,630 - $80,945.
A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, internal organizational equity, and geographic region.
