Cure JM Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports the rare disease juvenile myositis. Cure JM's mission is to find a cure and better treatments for juvenile myositis and improve the lives of families affected by JM.  We are a small team with a staff of 15. All work is remote, we do not have a physical office. 

 

 

$55,000 / year

Full-time position.

This is a work-from-home position, with some availability during a standard workday.  Work days and times are flexible, upon mutual agreement.

10 days (2 weeks) paid vacation time per year. 

  • Gifts processing and management
  • Administrative duties
  • Financial Data Processing Support
  • Blackbaud/ TeamRaiser and Support

 

The data manager position includes:

  1. Gifts processing and management:
  • Mailing gift acknowledgement letters
  • Donor perfect database data entry with gift information (new addresses, etc.)
  • Recording financial transactions in fundraising software (Blackbaud Team Raiser)
  • Administrative duties:
    • Data entry in fundraising software
    • Bulk mailings to constituents
    • Process matching gift forms and maintain matching list of passwords and logons
    • Process weekly list of thank you cards and addresses (volunteers will mail the cards)
    • Adding new constituents to database
    • Maintain constant contact lists (pull automatically from Donor Perfect)
    • Other related tasks per mutual agreement
    • Help coordinate paperwork for state registrations (process is owned by independent contractor)

     

  • Financial Data Processing Support
    • Monthly coding of credit card expenses
    • Monthly reconciliation of budget vs. actuals in donor perfect
    • Other related tasks per mutual agreement.

     

  • Blackbaud/ TeamRaiser and Support
    • Registering participants for the fundraiser (Walk or Giving Tuesday)
    • Set up Communications in TeamRaiser.
    • Other related tasks per mutual agreement.

     

     

     

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 3-5 years of experience
    • Proficiency in accounting software like Intact or similar software
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; advanced Excel skills a plus. 

     

     

    Additional Factors:

    • Software proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software like Intact or similar software and excel.
    • Data-entry: Proficiency in databases and data-entry best practices.  Familiarity with bulk uploads.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy: This position requires meticulous attention to detail and accuracy to ensure the integrity of financial records.
    • Communication skills: Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with staff. 
    • Organizational skills: Organized and efficient to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
