Experiences! This role is responsible for
contributing to the planning and execution of impactful donor and
alumni engagement and stewardship efforts for the Leeds School of
Business. This position is critical to the engagement efforts for
the Office of Advancement at CU Boulder and joins a team that
focuses on donor relations, alumni engagement, events, and advisory
board participation.
Under the guidance of the Assistant Dean for Advancement, this position is tasked with supporting the programmatic planning and execution that achieves the unit’s goals in stewarding donors, engaging alumni and other constituents, promoting the reputation of the Leeds School of Business, and increasing overall philanthropic support for CU Boulder. - Under the guidance of the Assistant Dean of Advancement, lead planning and execution of signature donor and alumni engagement programs and events; work towards exercising autonomy in these areas.
- Supervise the budget for Leeds Advancement events and experiences.
- In partnership with the Leeds advancement team members, review the effectiveness of programs and make suggestions for modifications and improvements.
- Review event & engagement marketing and communications materials including but not limited to invitation/list generation, audience segmentation, special handling, registration, event communications, and post-engagement surveys.
- Make recommendations for event efficiencies, redundancies and potential event collaboration.
- Responsible for event execution and logistics.
- Preparation of the dean and/or other speakers.
- Registration process and supervising vendors.
- Recruit and supervise other staff and student volunteers in their assigned roles during events.
- Contract negotiations with vendors, securing venues and initiating contract routing; work closely with Leeds accounting and procurement staff.
- Negotiates and is responsible for relevant event contracts ensuring favorable terms and cost efficiencies.
- Manage student interns assigned to events and experiences.
- Partner with regional development officers around smaller events, sharing standard processes and providing support as able. Supervise and respond to any inquiries that come to the Leedsalumni@colorado.edu inbox.
- Represents Leeds Advancement with Leeds School Event Team and other campus event partners.
- Contributes ideas and strategies to support the Leeds engagement and advancement teams’ priorities and goals.
- Hire/manage two-three student employees.
What You Should Know:
- This position has the ability to work a hybrid schedule with some days on campus and some days remote; This position will occasionally be required to work evenings/weekends.
- This position may require local, regional, and out-of-state travel to engage with university constituents.
What We Can Offer:
The salary range is $60,684 -$69,628 annually. Relocation assistance may be available within department guidelines.
