The College of Arts and Humanities (ARHU) at the University of Maryland seeks a diligent and motivated Stewardship Coordinator to join its development team. The Stewardship Coordinator supports the College’s efforts to strategically steward major gift and leadership level donors. Reporting to the Director of Stewardship and Donor Communication, the Coordinator works on the implementation of a variety of new and existing college-wide activities and initiatives developed to convey to our donors the importance of their generous philanthropy to the College and its students. As the home to 14 academic units and several key centers and institutes, the impact of ARHU donors is varied and far-reaching.

The Coordinator is highly skilled in composing written communication and is meticulous in managing complex events and activities. Supporting the processes, procedures, and tools to ensure best practices and consistency in donor communication, engagement, and cultivation, the Coordinator’s responsibilities will include—but are not limited to—carrying out the gift acknowledgement process; working with the Director and central University Relations partners to produce impact reports for the College’s most generous donors; coordinating the creation and administration of specialized communications from the dean; creating opportunities for connection between donors and scholarship awardees by supporting new centralized scholarship fund stewardship efforts through UMD’s Scholarship Universe and working with the Director on launching and managing a proposed scholarship awardee visit program; assisting with the planning and execution of small and large-scale donor stewardship and cultivation events; supporting the College’s efforts to launch a new donor recognition society; providing assistance in managing volunteer advisory groups associated with the dean’s office; and managing donor and volunteer data.
