Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, seeks a highly motivated and polished individual to help lead the Office of Institutional Advancement and Alumni Relations.

The core responsibility of this role is raising funds and increasing participation from alumni and friends. The ideal candidate will have a strong fundraising background, outstanding communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a culture of long-term philanthropy. This position requires a team-oriented, positive, and hard-working individual comfortable multitasking within a small office setting.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
  • Proven fundraising/development experience (Preferred)
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Drive fundraising initiatives to support school priorities
  • Coordinate or assist in coordinating special events, including alumni reunions
  • Manage and collaborate with class coordinators
  • Work closely with various volunteer committees, including the Alumni Advisory Council
  • Oversee the production of two alumni magazines per year (one for Loughlin and one for Bishop McDonnell alumnae), and coordinate/create story content for publications
  • Develop creative strategies to engage the alumni base, with a special focus on young alumni
  • Ensure database integrity (Raisers Edge) in collaboration with all staff, including our Database Manager
  • Engage with a variety of constituencies, including alumni, the Board of Governors, staff, students, community members, volunteers, and others
  • Identify and pursue community development opportunities
  • Coordinate various mailings

Loughlin is a co-educational, college-preparatory Lasallian high school located in beautiful Ft. Greene, Brooklyn. Loughlin currently enrolls 550 students, primarily from Brooklyn and Queens. On average, 99% of our seniors graduate each year, and at least 97% attend college.
