Kitchen Angels is social service not-for-profit agency, dedicated to providing free, nutritious meals to our homebound neighbors living with chronic illness and other life challenging conditions and who have no family or other support available to them. Since 1992, the organization has delivered over 2.1 million meals to more than 8,000 clients throughout the greater Santa Fe area. It is a volunteer driven program. Its seven staff members rely on 650 volunteers each year who prepare, package, and deliver meals as well as other activities through the organization.
The current Executive Director is retiring after more than 31 years leading the organization. The Board is seeking a strong, thoughtful, compassionate and visionary leader who can help guide the organization’s continued strategic growth while maintaining a focus on performance and operations. The organization’s thirty-plus years have been focused on improving clients’ lives by addressing their need for reliable and appropriate nutrition and also mitigating the impact their social isolation and resulting loneliness have on their physical health.
The organization has a strong volunteer and donor base as well as a positive relationship with the community, local political and government leaders, and the state’s legislative body.
The successful candidate will have eight to 10 years’ stable experience in successful non-profit management, with a preference for an MBA, MPA, Master of Nonprofit Management or other advanced degree, experience working directly with a strong and committed Board of Directors, and proven experience and expertise in financial management and supervision, and personnel management. They must also possess a commitment to the Kitchen Angels goals and mission, present a professional and positive image of the organization, and display an enthusiastic and positive attitude toward helping others.
To apply, please send cover letter, writing sample and resume to Dwayne Trujillo at dtrujillo@kitchenangels.org. Applications will be reviewed as received.
