The American Red Cross is currently seeking a Sr. Divisional Philanthropy Partner to support the Northern California Coastal Region (Sonoma, Napa, Marin, Solano, Contra Costa, San Francisco, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, San Jose, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, San Benito, Monterey, Merced) *This is a hybrid work position and can be located anywhere in the region. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: 1. This position will Implement overall fundraising strategy for assigned major donor portfolio of approximately 35 donors, with a target of raising $3M+ for Pacific Division of Red Cross. 2. Manage and develop individual/family foundation major donor accounts and more complex donor solicitations. This includes:

- Securing major gifts at the $1M to $5M level.
- Managing systems and software to track and cultivate donors and prospects, including our donor database and wealth screening tools.
- Creating and implementing moves management plans.
- Making direct, face-to-face solicitations, and assist other staff with their solicitations (e.g. provide portfolio development support, strategic counsel, and help with donor communications).
- Acknowledging major donors through public and private recognition.
- Tracking and reporting progress using specific metrics.
4. Support Red Cross Women in Philanthropy as part of portfolio growth, with guidance and mentoring to division team on expanding this group of donors. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline required.
- Minimum 7 years of fundraising and/or sales leadership experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Must have extensive knowledge of fundraising and/or sales principles and techniques in large organizations. Must have successful track record in solicitation of large fund amounts. A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
- Management Experience: N/a
- Skills & Abilities: Excellent organizational, collaborative, analytical, presentation and communication (interpersonal, oral and written) skills. Good project management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of fundraising database systems (e.g. Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce.com). Ability to work on a team.
- Travel: 25-40% business travel may be required.
