Aspen Leadership Group is proud to partner with the Huntsman
Cancer Foundation in the search for a President and Chief Operating
Officer.
Reporting to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the
Huntsman Cancer Foundation, the President and Chief Operating
Officer (COO) will lead the Huntsman Cancer Foundation team,
defining strategic objectives and fundraising strategies, including
the design and implementation of near- and long-term growth
strategies. The President and COO will oversee foundation
operational and fiscal integrity, administration, and personnel
management, working in close partnership with the Chief Executive
Officer of the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
This exceptional leader will drive the mission of the Huntsman
Cancer Foundation (HCF) to ensure the future of cutting-edge
research and capital projects at the Huntsman Cancer Institute
(HCI), leveraging a proven track record of building successful
development programs, inspiring donors to higher levels of giving,
and establishing transformative philanthropic partnerships. With a
commitment to fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence,
the President and COO will recruit, retain, and inspire a
high-performing foundation team. The President and COO will develop
and execute strategic initiatives to increase philanthropic revenue
and donor retention, while also serving as a key partner to the
Chief Executive Officers of the Huntsman Cancer Foundation and the
Huntsman Cancer Institute.
In 1995, the Huntsman family started the Huntsman Cancer Foundation
to ensure the future of cutting-edge research at Huntsman Cancer
Institute. Every dollar raised fuels research, supports patient
care, and brings the institute closer to the day when all forms of
cancer are preventable and treatable. HCF’s singular purpose—to
further the mission of Huntsman Cancer Institute—is advanced due to
the support of a community of donors and fundraisers. By funding
efforts to understand the beginnings of cancer better and more
effectively treat cancer, supporters help relieve suffering and
improve the quality of life for cancer patients, survivors, and
their families. Huntsman Cancer Foundation is dedicated to ensuring
excellence in these endeavors through the development and prudent
stewardship of private resources. All Huntsman Cancer Institute
fundraising initiatives happen through HCF, which is a public,
functionally integrated, Type III 501(c)(3) organization.
At its core, Huntsman Cancer Institute reduces human suffering. Its
doctors and researchers work together to understand cancer and find
breakthroughs to improve lives. Its comprehensive support for
patients and their families ensures no one faces cancer alone.
Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah is the
designated National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center
for Utah, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and Wyoming. It proudly serves
those with all types of cancer throughout the Mountain West.
Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah seeks a future
free from cancer. Its mission is to understand cancer from its
beginnings, use that knowledge in the creation and improvement of
cancer treatments, relieve the suffering of cancer patients, and
provide education about cancer risk, prevention, and care. To
realize this, the institute prioritizes and assesses community
health, patient access, and improved outcomes, reducing barriers to
care for all.
Huntsman Cancer Institute is leading the way in cancer care. Its
commitment to patients pushes the institute to explore new
frontiers in cancer treatments and therapies. Its hospitals and
clinics have state-of-the-art technology, enabling them to offer
the best in cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis, and treatment.
Treatments are tailored to each person, offering highly targeted
therapies and fewer side effects. Huntsman Cancer Institute is a
leader in immunotherapy, harnessing the power of the immune system
