Responsibilities

The Associate Director of Alumni Engagement, Seminole Clubs and Chapters implements specific strategies for Alumni Engagement programs including Seminole Clubs and Chapters. The position is responsible for developing, planning, implementing, budgeting, training, and executing a comprehensive Clubs and Chapters program that offers alumni and friends the opportunity to support the University’s mission and strategic priorities. The Associate Director of Alumni Engagement, Seminole Clubs and Chapters is also responsible for Club and Chapter data management, reporting, leadership training, adherence to established policies and procedures including IRS regulations related to Club filing status, and a comprehensive engagement budget to engage university leaders (academic and administrative) in Club engagement opportunities amplifying the university’s message and goals. The incumbent is expected to reinforce a collaborative relationship among Club outreach and all DSO organizations.

Manage Seminole Club strategy including communications, engagement, data, training, recruitment and recognition. Provide leadership for Club coordinators, specialists, and graduate assistant staff; Work collaboratively with the Director for Alumni Engagement, Volunteer Engagement, and Outreach on a Regional Engagement strategy; develop best practices in Clubs and Chapters and leverage overall volunteer engagement strategy to enhance club processes.

Oversee Club financials and ensure proper state, federal and university policy adherence; Prepare and execute a budget to support engagement, scholarships, philanthropy activities; Work with Annual Giving and Membership on growth strategies; Serve as the AA point person on Great Give assignments; Develop and maintain relationship with Admissions and Career Center; Serve as co-liaison to Board Committee and keep board committee informed on opportunities to engage with Clubs and Club leaders.

Provide reports and leverage data to inform decisions of department and AA leadership; Keep volunteers informed on data to make decisions; Develop and maintain process for data to enter CRM from Club activity.

Oversee targeted Club communications in line with overall Association brand, mission and vision; Develop and maintain communication strategy through social media, newsletter communication; Serve leaders and ensure needs are met.

Travel throughout the year; maintain contact with other Campus Partners to leverage full scope of travel and engagement priorities; Support Programs and Outreach team as needed especially where synergies overlap to maximize outreach.

Lead special projects such as Seminole Service Day, Freshman Send Off, and other duties as assigned.     

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four years’ experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.  

A valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License, or the ability to obtain.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are essential, as the candidate will be responsible for guiding and inspiring a team of coordinators, specialist, and graduate assistant.

What is a typical day? No two days are alike. Some days may be strategy and process focused, others may be interpersonal building relationships on behalf of the Division of University Advancement and others may find you on-the-go traveling on campus or regionally. This position can have non-traditional work hours and require stamina, a can-do spirit and ability to handle multiple competing priorities.

What can I expect in the first 60-90 days? Your first few weeks will consist of a thorough onboarding. Many meetings and appointments will already be set for you so you are wondering where to begin. You will also get a staff mentor/partner and training across the division. You will rely on your previous experience to jump in and start making the role your own with support from the entire organization.
