This position will play a crucial role in enhancing our Athletics and Recreation (DCARD) donor relations and is key to developing strategic communications and events that connect athletic alumni and parent with Dartmouth Athletics, aligning with our department’s strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Strategic Communications: Oversee and execute an annual communications strategy for all varsity sports and club programs. Manage content creation and delivery across digital platforms, ensuring alignment with DCARD’s brand and standards.
· Donor Stewardship: Coordinate strategic stewardship opportunities and manage donor recognition programs. Collaborate with staff to enhance interactions with donors and track engagement metrics to drive improvements.
· Event Organization: Plan and execute high-impact stewardship events, including game receptions, alumni weekends, and fundraisers.
· Special Projects: Manage high-profile projects, including significant anniversaries and celebrations. Serve as the primary contact for special initiatives.
A seasoned professional with a bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ experience in college athletics, fundraising, alumni relations, communications, or related field. You excel in strategic planning, event management, and communication (both verbal ads written). You have demonstrated creative planning, organizational, and project management skills. With a keen eye for detail and strong interpersonal skills, you’re adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. You are skilled in all media and computer software programs including Microsoft suite products, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop and social media platforms. You are available to work weekends and evenings for event oversight.
