Responsibilities
This campus-based position is responsible for working day-to-day with Seminole Clubs and Chapters (as assigned). The Coordinator works with Chapter and Club Leaders to plan and implement regional engagement opportunities designed to create awareness, foster communication, stimulate involvement and strengthen the connection between the university and its alumni.
Visit (as requested and needed) Clubs to provide board meeting support, ongoing training to ensure compliance with university policy and to provide strong support for volunteers. Work closely with Volunteer Engagement to articulate opportunities where vacancies may occur or strategic engagement needs support.
Coordinates leadership transitions with Seminole Clubs and Club leaders by defining and implementing succession planning and best practices; develops processes and policies with counterpart in department based on volunteer needs to ensure club programs are supported and information is streamlined to the university, in particular the FSU Foundation. Knowledge of Booster and Foundation activities to encourage and educate on purposeful, intentional programming throughout clubs.
Manages internal data for Association and Foundation strategy to grow alumni participation. Implement innovative solutions for all Club activities to drive data back to advancement strategies.
Reinforce collaborative and supportive relationship with the University’s colleges, schools and units (campus partners); Assist with the planning and execution annual Leadership Conference, work across association departments including membership, special events, and outreach. Implement strategy to involve Clubs with alumni networks and other relevant programming that will lead to strong relationship with university.
Stay up-to-date on regional engagement and Club best practices and industry standards; contribute to building innovative regional engagement program.
Other duties as assigned by Director of Seminole Clubs and/or Associate VP of Advancement, Alumni Engagement/President of the FSU Alumni Association.
Partner with appropriate staff on Great Give to ensure significant engagement in donor participation; educate Clubs on nomination, mentorship, virtual engagement and other Association-centric opportunities that will lead to being better informed and connected to university.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to six years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
A valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License, or the ability to obtain.
