MAJOR GIFTS OFFICER

The Major Gifts Officer for Blue Ridge and related organizations will play a critical role in increasing donor support and serving as Blue Ridge's ambassador throughout the community. This Officer is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding individual and corporate donors of the highest caliber. The Officer is the primary lead in managing relationships between donors and others on the leadership team and Board who work with them, supporting timely interactions and follow through. The Officer solicits gifts of all types, including immediate cash gifts, planned gifts, gifts-in-kind, challenge grants, and corporate sponsorships. The Major Gifts Officer reports to the Chief Operating Officer until a Chief Development Officer is added to the team. By fostering a culture of philanthropy and utilizing excellent relationship-building skills, the Officer contributes to the organization’s mission and long-term growth.
