JoyRx, the mission delivery of Children's Cancer Association, is the only organization of its kind. Established in 1995, JoyRx has the simple goal of delivering Joy to seriously ill children and teens when they need more than medicine. We combine energy, commitment, and vision to transform the standard of care for seriously ill children with Joy every day. We have pioneered innovative, award-winning pediatric programs of music, friendship, and nature.

As a fundraising professional, you understand the power of relationships and the long-term investment donors make with organizations they trust and support. You enjoy helping donors provide support to JoyRx for us to meet our mission and enjoy meeting new donors to share the JoyRx story.
The Role:
You will play an active, strategic role on the leadership team, contributing to high-level decision-making and shaping the direction of JoyRx's Development efforts beyond traditional event fundraising. Reporting directly to the CEO, and partnering with Pacific Northwest Leadership Council and the governing board on philanthropic priorities, you'll have a seat at the table for conversations around long-term fundraising strategies, major gifts cultivation, and expanding JoyRx's donor base. With access to robust organizational resources and support from a dedicated Development team, you will connect donors with meaningful opportunities to make an impact on the lives of our clients nationwide. In addition to being involved with events and other development activities, you'll play a pivotal role in growing major gifts, annual revenue, and donor engagement, driving the strategic vision of JoyRx's mission forward.

This position is based in the JoyRx Portland, OR office. JoyRx offers a hybrid office environment, with both onsite (professional open office environment) days and the ability to work remotely up to two days/week (Mondays & Fridays).

This position requires frequent operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. This position requires the ability to perform basic math and speak, hear, write, and read English. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some occasional lifting is required (up to 20 lbs).
Travel:
This position requires occasional travel in the Portland Metro area.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary: $120,000-$125,000 per year, depending on experience.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time (40 hours/week) exempt position. Some flexibility in hours is allowed; days and hours of work are generally Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, and Friday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, with the option to be remote Mondays and Fridays. This position requires occasional evening hours and weekend work.
