The Batten Group, a national executive search and consulting firm, has been retained by Intermountain Health to conduct a national search for a Region Vice President of Philanthropy to work with Foundation staff, partners, and volunteers as they launch a large capital campaign to build Nevada's only stand-alone children's hospital!

About Intermountain Health

Ranked as the #1 large health system in the nation by Fortune Magazine in 2024, Intermountain Health is widely recognized for innovative national leadership in transforming the delivery of care through a focus on health, clinical and service excellence, and affordability. As a result of the April 2022 merger between Intermountain Healthcare and SCL Health, Intermountain is now one of the largest nonprofit health systems in the country at approximately $16 billion in revenue.

The new Intermountain Health is comprised of 33 hospitals (including a “virtual” hospital) and 400 clinics spanning across seven states; an integrated medical group with a team of more than 66,000 caregivers who serve the healthcare needs of people across the Intermountain West, primarily in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming. Additionally, Intermountain Healthcare offers a broad range of health services, including clinics, a medical group, affiliate networks, hospitals, telehealth, homecare, and a not-for-profit health insurance company, SelectHealth, which offers health insurance plans covering more than one million people.

Regarded as one of the most innovative healthcare systems in America, Intermountain Health has the only stand-alone children’s hospitals in the Intermountain West. As the organization continues to grow to serve the needs of the people of the Intermountain West, Intermountain Health strives to become a model healthcare system for the nation.

About Intermountain Foundation

Led by Si Seymour Award Winner, David Flood, and consistently receiving accolades as an Association of Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) High Performer, Intermountain Foundation is a dynamic fundraising powerhouse that is transforming lives. As the Foundation works to fulfill Intermountain Health's mission of, "Helping People Live the Healthiest Lives Possible," it seeks to build relationships and partnerships that inspire generosity in support.

Intermountain Foundation oversees local and regional fundraising programs throughout the Intermountain Health market including Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, Idaho, and Utah. Local programs raise funds to benefit hospital projects, patient programs, research, and other initiatives based on community needs.

Throughout Intermountain Health’s history, philanthropy has played a critical role in advancing medicine and improving lives. As the Foundation and Healthcare System partner together in innovation, philanthropy continues to be seen as a strategic imperative to build a model healthcare system.

The Foundation is in the final stages of its first-ever system-wide campaign - Primary Promise - exceeding an ambitious $600M+ goal. This campaign promises to ‘Create the Nation’s Model Health System for Children’ and has given donors a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create a lasting legacy that will impact the lives of children and families for decades.

Over the past decade, the Foundation has experienced remarkable growth with increased total funds raised year over year, using increasingly more sophisticated methods of prospect and donor engagement, earning the designation of "High Performer" from the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy for 8 consecutive years.
