Director

The AAPC Foundation (AAPCF) protects political free speech, empowers future political consultants, and advances research at the intersection of democracy, technology, and media. We seek a strategic Foundation Director to drive growth, fundraising, and thought leadership while strengthening the political consulting community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement long-term plans and initiatives in alignment with the Foundation’s mission.
• Board Relations: Act as the primary liaison to the Board, supporting governance, recruitment, and alignment on goals.
• Management: Oversee staff, vendors, and contractors, ensuring program excellence and operational efficiency.
• External Relations: Represent the Foundation at events, cultivate partnerships, and enhance visibility through communications.
• Fundraising: Lead fundraising efforts, engage donors, and secure support from key stakeholders, including major donors, corporations, and foundations/philanthropic organizations.
• Program Development: Expand initiatives like internships and drive research partnerships.
• Advocacy: Position the Foundation as a leading voice on political consulting, free speech, and ethical technology use.
• Operations: Manage budgets and ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) with 8+ years in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, or advocacy.
• Experience in political campaigns/consulting
• Proven communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated success in securing major gifts and building long-term donor relationships.
