We are a comprehensive non-profit organization that serves older adults and people with disabilities in King County. Our mission is to partner with older adults to provide accessible and inclusive services so they can age their way.
We are currently seeking a Mission Engagement Manager to join our Marketing & Philanthropy team in Seattle, WA.
What will YOU do?
The Mission Engagement Manager leads the development and implementation of events, community engagement, and volunteer management. Manage events, vendor and donor relationships, volunteers and assigned staff. Identify prospects, lead community presentations, craft and pitch proposals, manage volunteer inquiries and opportunities, and create reports.
Pay Rate: $81,000 per year.
Work Schedule: Monday Through Friday, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a multi-year strategy for growing event support.
- Manage events such as the IPAA Luncheon.
- Develop strategies to generate sponsorship revenue while increasing equitable and inclusive participation.
- Manage and sustain long-term relationships with current and prospective corporate event funders and develop event reports for partners and management.
- Manage event donors and collaborate with Donor Relations Manager on strategy and technology for ticketing and in-event donations.
- Meet goals and deliverables for corporate partner activations. Work closely with marketing, affiliates, and programs to support partnerships, donor outreach, and engagement strategies.
- Establish and collaborate with the Mission Engagement Associate to execute strategies to recruit, schedule, coordinate, and cultivate volunteers for fund raising activities and event tasks including corporate work group engagement.
- Serve as the staff liaison for events at Board and Resource & Board Development Committee meetings. Manage collaborative and effective event productions, communications, design, and printing in a healthy work environment.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate assigned employees.
- Collaborate in the procurement strategy of prizes for event gaming activities and on outreach strategies and donor engagement for fund raising events.
- Develop and manage cost-effective fund-raising strategies for major events and sponsor budgets. Manage vendors and procurement of vendor services for assigned events.
- Report on success metrics of events (profitability, engagement, attendance, budget, etc.).
- Develop, manage, and analyze assigned budgets and operation plans. Reconcile, code and approve invoices.
- Monitor event industry standards, practices and trends to ensure innovation, awareness and influence within the events industry and King County.
- Represent the organization to external stakeholders and audiences.
- Establish strong relationships with community partners serving diverse communities of older adults and people with disabilities.
- Demonstrate an eagerness to learn and enhance skills that promote diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Participate in events related to understanding institutional racism and other forms of oppression.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three (3) years' related event management experience.
