Bridging seeks a visionary and strategic Director of Development to lead its fundraising, marketing and

communications initiatives. As a member of the leadership team, this role works closely with the Executive

Director and Board of Directors to advance the organization’s mission through effective donor cultivation,

stewardship, and engagement. This position oversees a dedicated team, manages budgets and goals, and

ensures alignment with Bridging’s mission and values.

This role is based in Roseville and reports to the Executive Director. Direct reports include the Development

Manager and Marketing Manager, with additional team members comprising a Donor Database

Administrator, Development Associate, contract Grant Writer, and part-time Communications Coordinator.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Development Leadership

• Establish and oversee annual fundraising goals (~$3M) and budgets in partnership with the Executive

Director and board of directors.

• Develop multi-year strategic fundraising growth plans to ensure sustainability and impact.

• Collaborate with team leaders to manage annual Development and Communications strategies,

ensuring seamless execution and alignment with organizational goals.

• Lead bi-monthly Development Team meetings and drive a culture of Community-Centric Fundraising.

Major Donor and Planned Giving Stewardship

• Cultivate relationships with major donors, identifying opportunities for growth and engagement.

• Oversee Planned Giving strategies and lead any future capital or special campaign fundraising

initiatives.

Corporate Sponsorships

• Partner with the Development Manager and Director of Strategic Partnerships to identify and secure

new sponsorships.

• Develop and implement an organizational sponsorship program to drive year-round engagement.

Foundation Engagement

• Oversee grant preparation, submission, and reporting in collaboration with the Contract Grant Writer

and Development Manager.

• Build and maintain relationships with foundation funders, exploring opportunities for new grants.

Team and Organizational Leadership

• Supervise and mentor the Development Manager and Marketing Manager, fostering a collaborative

and high-performing team.

• Represent Bridging at community events and public speaking engagements.

• Serve as a role model, leader, and contributor for Bridging’s strong organizational culture.

Event Creation and Management

• Oversee event growth

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Deep commitment to Bridging’s vision, mission, and values.

• At least 7 years of experience in fundraising leadership, managing strategies with consistent year-over-

year growth.

• 5+ years in organizational leadership and department management.

• Demonstrate a commitment and focus on community-centric fundraising

• Proven expertise in managing a major gifts portfolio ($25,000+) and driving donor engagement strategies.

• Strong knowledge of the Twin Cities philanthropic landscape and the ability to build meaningful

connections.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a relationship-driven approach to leadership.

• Demonstrated commitment to DEIB principles, with experience fostering inclusive environments.

• Strong project management skills and proficiency in donor database systems (Raiser’s Edge NXT

preferred).

COMPENSATION

The annual salary range for this role is $95,000 to $110,000, commensurate with qualifications and
