Responsibilities

The Coordinator of University Advancement Communications, Graphic Services is primarily responsible for designing and producing print and digital communications materials, both external and internal, for the FSU Division of University Advancement.

Designs print and digital materials for the FSU Alumni Association, Annual Giving, Donor Relations and the College, Units and Schools Student and Alumni Engagement team including direct mail pieces, brochures, reports, advertisements, flyers, notices, programs, graphics for web, email and social media, event collateral such as invitations, place cards, menus, signage, etc. as directed.

Designs internal design piece for Division engagements relative to culture building;

Edits artwork and makes changes based on client feedback. Reviews final layout and suggests improvements as needed.

Creates print-ready files for vendors. Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, (primarily InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop), as well as Microsoft Office suite.

Creates original illustrations and logos. Generates design ideas and concepts based on client requirements and intended outcomes. Edits photos as needed for inclusion in designed pieces.

Balances competing priorities.  Responsible for meeting all deadlines and project strategy timelines and prioritizing workload. Customer service oriented and works collaboratively with a diverse audience. Follows and ensures designs meet University Advancement and FSU branding guidelines to maintain brand consistency. Maintains awareness/compliance with university standards and ADA standards. Remains current with technology, file requirements and best/changing practices.

Examines job intake forms to understand project requirements, objectives and deadlines. Communicates with clients or project managers to clarify any ambiguities in the job intake forms. Keeps detailed records of all design projects, including revisions and final versions, within the job intake system.

Maintains contact with printing contractors to assure quality control; reviews and corrects printer’s proofs. Other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to six years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)

Valid FL or GA Driver's License or the ability to obtain.
